We’re closing out our day in Jackson with the whoopin’ and hollerin’ of the rodeo.
Our night will finish out with fireworks. And tears, if my history with watching fireworks follows the normal pattern.

One of the best pieces of advice we heard when we bought this house was to make a “before and after” scrapbook. This house needed SO much work to drag it out of the 70’s, and to reclaim the landscape from the wilderness it had been allowed to become, that we’d frequently look back at that scrapbook to see how far we’d come.

Believe it or not, this was the image the real estate agent used to sell the house.
And we STILL bought it.
Do not adjust your set. It’s “New Stuff Day”, so it might get a bit weird around here today.

Our fam damily is celebrating tonight with our dear friends, so I’m busily preparing for the dinner and the GF cake. (It’s The Boy’s 14th birthday on Monday, can you believe that?!)
Additionally, I’m celebrating a personal victory by trying to make some significant changes to the blog this weekend — hopefully, with The Hubsters technical assistance.
So, please check back tomorrow or Monday to see the big doings… and maybe… maybe another giveaway. ![]()
