The packing has begun
The Great Westward Ho trip is soon to begin. Which means I’ve stopped sleeping normally.
Which means I’m thinking about packing.

Which means I’m already piling stuff up in the guest bedroom!

When I go to do an update through WordPress, I need to access my “dashboard.” It lets me see all kinds of stats on my blog, from the comments guests made, to the number of you who come here each day to see the weirdness that is my life in TheSublurbs. (Although, I’m sure most of you are only here for the dog pics!
)
Can I just take a moment to tell you all how much I adore the GI-normous bump in comments over the past few months!

Wasn’t it just a little while ago that I did the “1K give-away?”
You guys ROCK!
When you’re married to a geek, you are often bombarded with links to geeky humor sites by your well-meaning loved one. Some of the humor I “get,” some I have to look up, some I just shake my head and go back to reading my other emails.
But XKCD’s comics are worth clicking on. This one, especially, made me laugh out loud because it’s so darned true!

I have heard/had this exact same conversation in my house many times…
No… not literally.
But I’m totally into the TV show.

For us, this was one of the most interesting, well-written, weird, funny, horrifying, mentally-challenging shows ever. While I was totally obsessed and willing to read tons of collateral information and theories, The Hubster never got that hooked, but still was able to enjoy the show purely on a fan level.
And that’s pretty cool for a TV show to be able to appease both types of viewers.
